FAQ Body Comparison

For those that don't have dolls with each body type, here's a quick look at the differences between the 3 types we have so far.
Full Frontal View
Side View:
Quick points:
Type 1 body: the plastic is harder than that of the other two body types. The screws are visible and none of the limbs are removable. This body has the largest bust, the hair is rooted and the faces shiny. The early releases were plagued by fragile necks, the later releases are sturdier.
Type 2 body: These are the tallest Pullips and also the most posable. The limbs are removable, and the chest area is made of soft plastic. The abdomen is the trouble area for these types as it's known for frequently "popping out", also the early type 2 releases have problems with limbs that easily fall out. Most (? all?) of type 2 have matte faces and are wigged.
Type 3 body: These are the smallest Pullips, in height and their feet size. The limbs aren't removable anymore and the bodies are also less posable than type 2. The faces are matte and the hair wigged.
The feet across all the body types have changed, with the biggest difference in type 3 body:
And the joints:
Hope this proves useful

Ohh! I have an idea!
What if you took photos comparing posing capabilites? Like, how much can a Type 1 Leg Bend? A Type 2? A Type 3?
How much can the different arms bend? What are things Type X can do that Type Y cannot?

Wow, those are so detailed!
Thank you Inga!
I think the picture with the 3 feet is the cutest! XD
EDIT: The only thing is that yeah, some releases have Type 2 bodies, but still have rooted hair, so it doesn't go hand in hand. Like Nomado, has a type 2 body, but rooted hair. And um... I think, Venus has rooted hair too, and maybe Savon, but their bodies are T2 and their faces shiny. *think* I'd need to double check.

Well, I don't think there is any 'best' body type. Each type has its own problems and benefits. Personally, I recommend people buy a Type 3 for their first Pullip, since that will give you a good taste for the Pullip brand without some of the larger problems of the other body types. Hope this helps, Orangey.
