Which would YOU people suggest is the best body type? "You" as in you who have it =)
3 is probably the least problematic, but unless you find clothes specifically for 3 bodies, she will swim in doll tops and bottoms.
2's ability to come apart can be an asset and a liability. The tummy popout is a pain.
1 looks the most robot-y, has a tendency for loose joints, the arms are too small for most jackets AND you can't even get shoes on them that are MADE for 1. I have a feeling I'll have to replace Deirdre's body sooner or later ...

Thanks for the comparison pics!
Wow, Type 3's feet are so... small!
And I realized Ashlynn's a type 2. I always thought she was a type 1.

Body Comparison: Volks EB Beauty - Volks Neo-EB [Teens] - Obitsu Hardbust
«

Volks EB Beauty [Carol/Zoe], Volks Neo-EB Teens [Nomado/Umeko] and Obitsu Hardbust [Papin/Kiri].
I redid a few poses poohki used in her Obitsu comparison tutorial because I don't own any Softbust Obitsus and I thought it might be helpful to be able to compare the Volks Bodies to them as well. I really hope that's okay.
I'm sorry for the bad quality of these photos and the changing lighting - it was pretty dark already and the sun went down very quickly while I took these pictures.
Front and back of the bodies:
Hands:
Knees:
Feet:
Different poses:
Huging their knees [Umeko is obviously the only one who can do it]:
Bending backwards:
The Neo-EB body is definitely the most poseable but also the floppiest body - it's not that bad though. Umeko can still stand up straight [and she has super heavy hair] but most of the time it took me more time to pose her than the other girls.
Sometimes a limb comes off but it's definitely not as bad as with type 2s and you can put them back easily.
The body also has a joint so you can turn the neck itself - which is a nice idea but becomes somewhat annoying with a Pullip head on it. It sometimes makes the head spin around without you wanting it to. It's still something I can live with.
Neck joint:
Neo-EB and Neo-EB Teens bodies also come with an extra set of larger feet:
The EB Beauty body is the worst when it comes to poseability but I think it's also the prettiest. Obitsu is the sturdiest body.
I also wanted to know what the difference between the Neo-EB and the Neo-EB Teens body is, so I bought both.
There's actually no big difference, the bust-size is different and the Neo-EB body
might
be slightly taller - but I'm absolutely not sure about that [it looks so on the photos, hm.].

Thank you so much! Which colour did you choose for Nomado, please? I have a floating head, my third Nomado (the other two are stock and white obitsu), I would love to give the Neo-EB a try!

That was so extremely helpful! Even though it's floppier than most, the Teens body looks like it'd be a lot of fun to have around.
Thanks much for this post!

Hello and Good day!! I read on the forum that the TYPE 4 body has arrived! I wanted to buy obitsu body for my doll and was wondering whether to also get a body for my pre-ordered doll which has yet to arrive. I'm wondering about the posibility of this type 4 body compared to the obitsu. If the posibility is of no problem for the type 4, then i would rather save the money for some other things. So could some kind soul pose some comparison pictures of these type 4 bodies compared to the bodies from the new obitsu series. THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!

Hi there! I believe type 4 bodies will be on all future releases from now on, but you might need to be a bit patient for comparison photos. Only neo noir has that body, and people have only just received her. I'm also not sure how many people ended up getting her on this forum. Maybe not many... You may want to try looking at the
Neo Noir flickr group
, maybe you can find some comparison photos there...?

... The uploader has put in lots of effort and has taken quite a few pictures for the comparison between the Type 3 and the Type 4. After looking at that, i think i shall buy obitsu for my upcoming dolls! Hahaha...

No problem!
I just wanted to warn you that you might not get a quick response. I'm glad you were able to find something over on flickr that helped tho, I actually hadn't seen those pictures myself, they were pretty interesting! I think obitsu is probably still better too, tho I do think the new body looks nicer than the old one...

I really like both bodies - I wouldn't recommend putting a girl with really heavy hair on a Neo-EB body though [well, I did it too but wanted my Nomado on this body and I'm stubborn.
]
Then again, heavy hair probably makes every body floppy.
