We've asked Jun Planning about the new announced body type and here's what we found out today:

They confirmed the new body for the January Pullip (neo Noir). 

<Old>
- Twist of upper body was made around waist line and made 360 degree turn.
- Keeping the right and left knees apart. Both knees are not touching each other.
  So old Pullip was not able to sit by closing her legs.

<New>
- Twist of upper body will be made right under chest. It won’t make 360 degree turn any more.
  It will make more natural movement on her body.
- Both knees will touch each other. So new Pullip can sit by closing her both legs.
- Elbow and wrist get slimmer and makes more feminine.
- You can take Pullip hands from her wrist and change to another hand. (For example holding a bag, ect)
- Shoulder length becomes shorter and makes more feminine.
- Thigh and ankle becomes thinner and makes more feminine.
- Changed to new structure on her knees so that it won’t make any noise any more.

They don't have photos of it right now, but as soon as we get anything, I'll let you know! 

So what do you guys think about it?

The new body sounds great! I hope it's as poseable as obitsu, but as long as the wrists can turn 360 degrees instead of Type 3's 180, I'm happy :D

That sounds really great from their description! I hope we can see some photos soon.
I can't believe we have to wait until January for some owner photos; that's when we'll really know how the poseability is.

Will all Pullips after Neo Noir have the new body? If so that makes Kaela more tempting for me

Oh!  That does sound promising! I think the one thing that has driven me craziest about the old bodies was the hands, so if they are now interchangeable and can rotate, that would be awesome!

I'm apparently not very observant, but the old bodies could twist 360 degrees? I didn't know that! 

I wonder if they are any taller?  It will be cool if I don't have to buy obitsus for any new girls I buy next year, but I think they might be depressed to be shorter than my other girls... 

The changes sound good tho, it sounds like JP tried hard to make improvements to things that bugged us!
(Now I wonder how long it will take for those changes to go to the J-dolls too....)

These sound very promising! I wonder if they actually patterned the new body after the Obitsu. I like the idea of interchangeable hands as well! So does that mean that every Pullip starting from Neo Noir will come with those interchangeable hands (unlike Obitsu which need to be bought separately)? If that's the case, then that's kind of... awesome :)

Now if only they do something about those squeaky, fragile Taeyang bodies, too!

Sounds promising! The only think that worries me is the thinning of the ankles. Aren't they thin already?  I'm just worried they'd start snapping off.

I am not too happy about everything becoming thinner... I always thought that Pullips had a somewhat "healthy" body type, and can't really see how thinner thighs will make them look more feminine. As vanie, I am also worried that thinner elbows, wrists and ancles mean easily snapping joints...

Other than that, the poseability seems to improve with the other changes!

Well, I'll reserve judgment until I actually see owner pics of the new body, as I'm not entirely convinced that the Type 4 will be that vast an improvement.  But it does sound like JP has tried to address some of the known issues of the Type 3 bodies.  Methinks Obitsu will still be a better choice, but again, I want to see the Type 4 in action before jumping to conclusions.  Not that I have any intention of buying more Pullips, but I am curious....

Hmm, this may tempt me more towards some of the new releases...XD
We will just have to see how the new body plays out. If a sucess, it would be nice to not have to change the body for every doll. But I do prefer obitsu^^

Interchangable hands? wow! once I see how the type for body looks like, that might motivate me more to finally get my courage to ask my parents for a pullip.
Every Pullip collectors seems to be very excited about this news. And hopefully it won't dissapoint us.
