I would like to please remind everyone to read through the forum rules. We've had many new members lately and some rules are being ignored.
I would like to bring particular attention to our rule about old threads (copied and pasted directly from the
Forum Rules thread):
7. Necroing old threads (bringing old threads back to life by adding new posts) is generally considered to be bad netiquette, especially if the threads don't contain current and/or useful general information. I understand that sometimes people don't realize that a thread is old when posting to it, and no one will be penalized for doing it, but others find it annoying and confusing. When old threads are necroed, I will assess whether or not the thread still contains any useful current information, and if they don't I will lock them.If this rule continues to be broken the forum management will have to start penalizing people and handing out warnings. Please read through threads before commenting on them to determine a) when the thread was last active, and b) if the information in it has any current relevancy.
I would also like to remind everyone about our Marketplace access requirements. You must have 30+ posts AND have been a registered member of the forum for 30+ days to gain access to the Marketplace. This is for the safety of all members. I'm sorry it's a pain, but it's how we've decided to control access to this forum's Market. Requests for Market access before the 30 posts/30 days have been met will be denied. The requirements are shown on the left side of every page under the News heading.
I suspect that some of the necroing that has been going on lately has to do with the Market access requirements. Please be advised that if the problem continues, necro threads will not only be locked, but the necro posts will also be removed from them. This will lower postcounts and make it more difficult to get to 30 posts. I'm sorry to be such a hardass about this, but if your only reason for joining this forum was to gain access to our Market, there are other forums more suited for that purpose. We're very happy to have so many members sharing the dollie love, but we'd like to keep the focus on the fun of the hobby, not the Market.
I appreciate everyone's cooperation and return you now to your regularly scheduled dollie fun.
